  • What are the goods and services offered by AVMA LIFE?
    AVMA LIFE offers insurance products to AVMA members. The AVMA LIFE Trust Program Administrator markets and administers the AVMA LIFE program by answering policy-related questions, coordinating claims, offering an online bill payment option for premium payments, and more.

  • What are the insurance policy requirements for policy cancellation and refund?
    If a member elects to cancel his/her policy, a written request signed by the owner of the policy is required in order to process the cancellation.

    All policy cancellation and refund requests must also include the following:

    • Name of the member, as it appears on the policy
    • Policy number found on the member’s policy
    • Subscriber ID number found on the insurance premium statement
    • Effective date of policy cancellation

    Policy Cancellation and Refund

    If a refund is due to the member for a mid-term policy cancellation, a refund will be issued within 30 days of receipt of the cancellation notice. Refund payments will be issued in the same manner in which the member submitted payment (i.e. credit card, ACH, or check).

  • What is the security method for the transmission of payment data?
    AVMA LIFE online bill pay secures your personal information from unauthorized access, use, or disclosure. AVMA LIFE online bill pay secures the personal identifying information you provide on computer servers in a controlled, secure environment, protected from unauthorized access, use, or disclosure. When personal information (such as a credit card number) is transmitted to other websites, it is protected through the use of encryption, such as the Secure Socket Layer (SSL) protocol.

    For risk management and for processing certain types of follow-up transactions (for example, recurring billing or refunds), our credit card vendor, Authorize.Net®, will store customer payment information in a highly secured database for a limited period of time. However, all sensitive or personal identifying member information that is stored by Authorize.Net® will be masked in the Merchant Interface and in merchant reporting. Additionally, in order to maintain compliance with credit card security compliance programs, internal access to member information is highly restricted. Once member payment information has been stored for 120 days (from the date it was originally received), Authorize.Net® purges the full information and stores only masked information.
